• This is a splendid album if one is curious how an Indian composition scored for an orchestra sounds. Sonu tries hard, and it is definitely better than his own compositions like "Chanda Ki Doli" or the narcissistic 'Classically Mild'. True Rafi fans will be disappointed though, if expecting anything even remotely resembling Rafi Saab. A thousand copies cannot make an original, and Rafi was an original. Sonu may be a half decent copy, but nowhere near the original. I just hope it doesn't become a trend for the current singers to commercially climb on maestros' backs, but seeing Amit Kumar after 'K for Kishore' and Sonu after Rafi Resurrected, is a scary trend. I personally was turned off by Sonu's performance, but this effort will resurrect Sonu's career more than resurrecting Rafi's memory. All in all, other than the brilliant orchestra score, a mediocre effort. - Rating: ** / Name: Mickey
