This South London Company continues to present Indian music in a very approachable way. Their new collection of CDs corresponds to the Indian tradition of playing certain ragas at certain times of the day, and also at certain times of the year. While some companies would overplay the Packaging in this respect, Audiorec know that few Western listeners are going to set their alarms for 5.30am in order to get up and listen to the dawn CD. Again, the standard has been maintained Kumar is not as dazzling or spectacular as some sitar players, but it's very listenable music played with authority and conviction.
